Intelligent Systems
Overview
The term "intelligent systems" is used to describe systems and methods which simulate different aspects of intelligent behaviour in order to ultimately learn from nature so that we can design and implement more powerful computer architectures. The utopian final goal of the so-called intelligent systems is to develop a device (robot, machine, computer process, etc.) capable of representing knowledge for itself and reasoning upon it, capable of planning and acting, capable of assimilating new knowledge from the experience and interacting with the environment. A device ultimately able to carry out any task that it is usually considered characteristic of intelligent beings.
The Master's degree covers a wide range of topics: neural networks, speech processing, robotics, data mining, evolutionary computation, etc. The programme is based on an inclusive and specialised approach.
