Undergraduate Degree in Pharmacy

Overview

 The degree in pharmacy is included in the branch of Health Sciences and its main objective is to train specialists in all aspects of drugs and medicines, in accordance with European Directives relating to the pharmacology profession. It also provides training to equip graduates with practice in the professional domain and aspects to which they can legally correspond to in the different aspects of the health care system, in accordance with the provisions of Law 44/2003 of 21st November, of Management of Health Care Professions, and following the regulations of the Order CIN/2137/2008 of July 3rd, which establishes the requirements for verification of official university degree holders that qualify as pharmacists.

The Undergraduate Degree in Pharmacy at the University of Salamanca passed the ANECA verification process on 6th May 2008. Subsequently, by agreement of the Council of Ministers, the degree was recognised in its official capacity and was included in the Register of Universities, Schools and Degrees (BOE September 26, 2008).

The Undergraduate Degree in Pharmacy began in the 2008-09 academic year. This new degree whose curriculum was published in the Official State Gazette(BOE) on 3rd December 2009, replaces the 2001 curriculum (BOE 04/12/2001).
