Interdisciplinary gender studies

Overview

The postgraduate programme that is offered aims to contribute to the training of specialists and university technicians in the field of gender relations from a transversal and interdisciplinary approach (legal, humanistic and social analysis) and the evaluation of public policies for effective equality.

 The student's critical and research abilites will be essential throughout this programme which will provide the necessary expertise to review, analyze, criticize and to develop an academic research career in fields related to the historical, educational, psychological, sociological, scientific and legal aspects of gender relations and equality, viewed from an interdisciplinary perspective.

At the end of the programme students will have the tools to develop and implement original ideas, often in the field of research, but they can also apply what is learned to their future careers.

The interdisciplinary programme allows a flexible introduction to the system of postgraduate studies at the University of Salamanca, as the teaching and training activities that are performed in this field have always made a multidisciplinary demand on students who originate from different degrees such as law, history, sociology, CC Politics, Communication, Translation, Literature, Fine Arts, Medicine, Nursing ... and the choice made between three specialties is intended to allow students to opt for a science based education that will still be of interest to you throughout your future professional life.
